Highland Horticultural is a nursery business requiring a simple informational site that is updated every week to reflect current stock. No sales are made from the page, however there is a newsletter option and blog.
The colours were chosen from the photographs (taken by myself and my daughter, Tabitha!) and code is used to alter some of the design elements. The site can easily be updated every week by the owner with a current list of stock and new photos if desired.
For business plans and higher, Squarespace offers a very simple and elegant option to send email campaigns (for instance, a weekly newsletter of current stock) directly from the mailing list which is built from the newsletter sign-up forms. This is an ideal, easy to use set up as website colours and fonts are automatically applied to the email design to keep branding consistent. However to keep costs down in the start-up stage it is also possible to use Mailchimp’s free service and simply export the current mailing list each week.
